Here's why Kobe threw Nick Young's sneakers in the trash after final game

After Kobe Bryant capped off a brilliant career by scoring 60 points in his finale, his Lakers teammates celebrated in the locker room by spraying champagne on their now officialy retired star player. Once the bottles were empty and the dust settled, Lakers players asked Bryant for one final autograph. In a jovial mood, Bryant signed whatever he was asked to sign. Except for when it came to Nick Young's turn.
Young, an adidas athlete, gave Bryant his sneakers to sign. Bryant, a fierce Nike loyalist, flat-out refused to sign the shoes and threw them in the trash instead.
"He threw my shoes in the trash, but that's Kobe for you," Young said. "I was a little disappointed in that, but, you know, he could not end without something like that."
Although Bryant may have treated Young's shoes rather harshly, the Lakers guard did get an autograph from Kobe at the end of the night:
And while Young didn't get his shoes signed, a stat sheet may be the best thing for Bryant to autograph. Especially since, it clearly shows by the numbers, how amazing Bryant's last game truly was.
