Through 3 Quarters

The Phoenix Suns are just one quarter away from delivering their fans the win they've been expecting. It's looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the Washington Wizards as Phoenix lead 85-51.

Center Deandre Ayton has led the way so far for the Suns, as he has posted a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. Washington hasn't had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to 11 points or fewer.

Phoenix's lead is the biggest they have had this year going into the fourth quarter.

What to Know

The Washington Wizards are home Saturday, but with the point spread against them by 7.5 points, it might not be quite the welcoming they would prefer. They will take on the Phoenix Suns at 7 p.m. ET at Capital One Arena after having had a few days off. The Wizards aren't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the team has another upset up their sleeve.

Things were close when Washington and the Philadelphia 76ers clashed on Wednesday, but Washington ultimately edged out the opposition 106-103. Among those leading the charge for Washington was power forward Kyle Kuzma, who had 24 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Phoenix came up short against the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, falling 124-115. Despite the defeat, Phoenix had strong showings from point guard Chris Paul, who posted a double-double on 18 points and 12 dimes, and small forward Mikal Bridges, who had 24 points in addition to eight boards. That's the fourth consecutive contest in which Paul has had at least 12 assists.

The Wizards found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unfortunate 118-98 punch to the gut against the Suns in the teams' previous meeting last December. Maybe Washington will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the game and check back on CBS Sports for all the details.
