Celtics forward Jeff Green was benched for the end of the thitd quarter and all of the fourth quarter in Sunday's loss to the Pistons, and MassLive.com reports the benching could be a result of defensive miscues.
Green ended up playing 20 minutes in all but didn't see the floor again after being taken out with slightly less than 15 minutes to play in the game. He scored seven points on 3 of 5 shooting while adding two rebounds and two assists to his performance. The 0-3 Celtics take on the Grizzlies Monday, so we'll see quickly if Green actually is in the doghouse.
