Kevin Hart retires from Celebrity game, cites Mo'Ne Davis as reason
"That little girl embarrassed me on live television."

It's the end of an era.
Kevin Hart, winner of four MVP awards, has decided to retire from the NBA's Celebrity All-Star game, citing 13-year-old Mo'Ne Davis as the reason why.
If you remember back to All-Star Weekend (seemingly so long ago already due to the endless trade speculation that has engulfed the NBA this week), Davis used a killer spin move to take Hart to the hole and score.
Well, today on The Jim Rome Show, Hart officially decided to announce that he was done.
“I’m officially retired from the Celebrity All-Star Game,” Hart said. “I can’t do it anymore, I’ve done all there is to do, my kids are happy, they feel like their dad went out on top. I think if I go back it’s only going to get worse, I can’t go down, I can only go up, and I left with a bang. I did what all the greats say you should do.”
But after that statement of glory, he admitted the real reason:
“That little girl embarrassed me on live television,” Hart said. “It’s only going to get worse if I keep going back. I don’t want to see what’s going to happen next.”
Hart then went further, and called for an investigation into the eligibility of Mo'ne Davis.
“Basically, any 13-year old girl that can throw an 80 mile-per-hour fastball, something’s wrong. I want the girl checked for substances, I said it. I want her checked, the girl’s too good.”
Hart's antics will be missed by some, whereas others will be pleased to see him depart. The Celebrity game has officially changed for better or worse, and it'll be interesting to see how many people tune in without Hart involved next season.
