Since becoming the NBA commissioner in 2014, Adam Silver's tenure has been mostly filled with high points. Silver has made small nuanced changes that have resulted in a more entertaining league and also swiftly and smartly dealt with issues that cropped up like the Donald Sterling situation. But Silver may have had his largest gaffe as a commissioner on Wednesday.

While presenting Stephen Curry with his second consecutive MVP trophy, Silver didn't notice the Warriors guard extending his hand for a quick shake. Silver instead concentrated on giving Curry his MVP trophy, leaving the Warriors star literally hanging on such a historic moment. Curry played it off with a quick twiddle of his fingers but it was still an awkward albeit hilarious interaction.

Silver must have been alerted of his faux pas because he later made up for it via the official NBA's Twitter account, by properly dapping up Curry while sharing a hearty laugh.

All's well that ends well.
