LOOK: Knicks super fan Spike Lee praises decision to get rid of Phil Jackson
Spike Lee couldn't be happier after learning the Phil Jackson era is over in New York
Few people are bigger Knicks fans than actor/director Spike Lee, who can often be found sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden. And as such, few people are more excited about the Knicks' decision to get rid of team president Phil Jackson.
After initial reports late Tuesday night indicated Jackson's job was not so secure, the Knicks made things official early Wednesday morning, announcing that the two sides had agreed to mutually part ways.
Spike Lee's response? Literal praise.
His arms raised upwards in salutation of a higher being, and a smile breaking onto his face, Lee simply captioned the picture, "HALLELUJAH."
The best thing about it is Lee makes zero reference to the Knicks anywhere in the post, neither in his caption or in what he's wearing. And yet, everyone knew immediately what he was so happy about.
