The Magic waived veteran forward Jason Maxiell Friday, the team announced.
Maxiell appeared in 34 games with the Magic, but fell out of the rotation as the season went on. He finished the season averaging 3.2 poitns and 2.5 rebounds per game, and is now an unrestricted free agent.
