NBA Playoffs: Isaiah Thomas elects to play Game 1 following death of his sister
His sister died in a car accident Saturday morning
Saturday, the NBA world was saddened by some tough news out of Washington, as the sister of Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas had died following a car accident.
We are terribly saddened by the tragic loss of Chyna Thomas. The thoughts & prayers of the entire organization are with Isaiah & his family.

But despite dealing with that unimaginable grief, Thomas is planning to play in Game 1 of the Celtics' first-round series against the Bulls.
