The long, ugly relationship between the New York Knicks and Phil Jackson finally ended Wednesday morning as MSG executive chairman James Dolan and Jackson "agree(d) to part company." Shorthand, Jackson is gone and people are ecstatic.

Knicks fans have been begging for this for quite some time and the reaction out of New York and from most of its fans reflected that sentiment. Famous Knicks supporter Spike Lee seemed to be the first to take to social media by posting a picture that may or may not let you know how he felt about Jackson's departure.

HALLELUJAH.

Knicks fans weren't the only ones to jump in on the celebration, as media outlets, personalities and general fans all piled on to the anti-Jackson bandwagon.

Of course, this doesn't solve all the team's problems. As much as Twitter is celebrating now, some fans pointed out that everything still isn't great in Madison Square Garden.

You can't have everything I guess. Oh well, let the celebrations and memes flow. And no matter how bad things are with the Knicks, there's always a silver lining.
