Steve Kerr has been inching towards a return in the past week or so, and the latest report indicates he may indeed be back for Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night. Via ESPN:

"He may coach Sunday. He's feeling better," a source close to Kerr told ESPN's Marc Spears.

Kerr hasn't been on the sidelines since Game 2 of the Warriors' first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers. It hasn't made much difference, as the Warriors are still undefeated in the postseason following Thursday night's Game 1 victory over the Cavaliers, which ran their playoff record to 13-0.

Still, if Kerr is up to returning to the bench, that is where the Warriors will want him to be, regardless of how they've fared with him absent.

As of yet, however, there has been no final decision, and Klay Thompson indicated Friday afternoon that he is yet to hear anything.

Mike Brown added on a conference call with media that, "I'm gonna coach until they tell me it's different. I haven't heard anything from him. I'm going to plan on continuing to coach until either he or Bob Myers tells me that it will be different."

We'll likely continue to stay in this holding pattern until much closer to game time on Sunday night.
