NFL on Christmas Day betting preview

To kick off the NFL Christmas Day tripleheader, the Washington Commanders (4-11) will host the Dallas Cowboys (6-8-1). The two NFC East rivals have both been eliminated from postseason contention, but both have designs on ending disappointing seasons on a high note. The latest NFL odds from FanDuel lists Dallas as the 7-point favorite on the road while the over/under is 50.5.

In the NFC North, the Minnesota Vikings (7-8) will host the Detroit Lions (8-7). The two franchises combined to win 29 games last season, but could both be mathematically eliminated by week's end regardless of this outcome. Minnesota won in Detroit 27-24 earlier this season, but the Lions are favored by 5.5 on the road while the over/under is 44.5 points.

The Kansas City Chiefs (6-9) won the AFC West in each of the last nine seasons, but they've already been eliminated from postseason contention altogether. They'll host the Denver Broncos (12-3), who hold a one-game lead over the Chargers in the division and are the current No. 1 seed in the AFC.
