Panthers quarterback Cam Newton scored a pair of touchdowns and led his team to an NFC South title in a 34-3 win over Atlanta in Week 17.

Newton found Ed Dickson for a 5-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and broke free for a 4-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. It was his 33rd career rushing touchdown, tying John Elway, Otto Graham and Y.A. Tittle for 10th-most all time by a quarterback in league history.

Newton compiled 114 passing yards while completing 10 of 16 passes. He added one touchdown and no interceptions. He rushed for 51 yards and a score on six carries.

Newton had two rushing touchdowns through his first 11 games. He now has one in each of his last three games played. He finishes the regular season with 3,127 yards with 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

The Panthers will advance to the first round of the playoffs next week against Arizona.
