Patriots' Cedrick Lang: Cut by Patriots
Lang was let go by the Patriots on Friday, Doug Kyed of NESN.com reports.
Lang spent the entirety of last season on injured reserve with a lower-leg injury and has yet to make his NFL debut at the age of 26. If he clears waivers, he could be a candidate for the practice squad.

Patriots' Cedrick Lang: Lands in New England
Lang signed a contract with the Patriots on Monday, Nick Underhill of The Athletic reports.
Lang spent all of last season on the Vikings' injured reserve list due to a lower-leg injury and previously all of 2017 on Minnesota's practice squad. The 26-year-old has yet to make his NFL debut and projects to play a depth role on the Patriots' offensive line if he earns a spot on the 53-man roster.

Cedrick Lang: Enters free agency
The Vikings won't tender Lang a contract for 2019, making him an unrestricted free agent, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Lang sustained a lower-leg injury during the preseason and spent all of 2018 on Minnesota's injured reserve list. The 26-year-old lineman will now look to earn a depth role elsewhere around the league.

Vikings' Cedrick Lang: Clears waivers, lands on IR
Lang (lower leg) cleared waivers Tuesday and reverted to injured reserve, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Lang will require season-ending surgery, so even if an injury settlement is reached, his focus will shift to the 2019 campaign. The Vikings will look for additional linemen to back up Tom Compton.

Vikings' Cedrick Lang: Waived with injury tag
The Vikings waived/injured Lang (lower leg) on Monday, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
This move is no surprise after Lang suffered an injury in Saturday's preseason loss to the Jaguars that will require season-ending surgery. Lang's loss leaves the Vikings struggling with depth behind starter Tom Compton. If he clears waivers, he'll revert to the team's injured reserve.

Vikings' Cedrick Lang: Out for season
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer ruled Lang (leg) out for the season following Saturday's preseason loss to the Jaguars, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Lang, who was carted off the field with an air cast on his right leg, failed to avoid a serious injury as he'll undergo surgery and lose his 2018 season as a result. Fellow guard Josh Andrews also left Saturday's tilt with a leg injury, leaving the Vikings extremely thin up front behind starter Tom Compton.

Vikings' Cedrick Lang: Taken off on cart
Lang sported an air cast on his right leg as he was carted off the field during Saturday's preseason game against the Jaguars, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
An air cast is certainly not a good sign, especially with the Vikings losing lineman Josh Andrews earlier in the game. More information on his status will likely be released after he undergoes some tests.
