Titans' Joel Wilson: Signs future deal with Titans

The Titans signed Wilson (undisclosed) to a reserve/future contract Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Wilson was unable to make Chicago's 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He got another opportunity with Tennessee in mid-September as a member of the team's practice squad but landed on the Titans' practice squad/injured list in early December due to an undisclosed issue. Wilson has yet to appear in a regular-season game since entering the league in May 2023 as an undrafted free agent, but he'll participate in offseason activities with the Titans and look to build some momentum heading into training camp in July.

The Titans placed Wilson (undisclosed) on the team's practice squad/injured list Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Wilson will now be ineligible for elevation to the active roster for the final four games of the season. In a corresponding move, the Titans signed free agent tight end Cole Turner to replace Wilson as an eligible depth tight end on the practice squad.

The Bears signed Wilson to the practice squad Thursday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Wilson was waived by the Packers following training camp, and he spent some time on the Giants' practice squad before being cut Oct. 2. The 24-year-old tight end has yet to see NFL regular-season action since signing with New Orleans as an undrafted free agent in April 2023. The move corresponds with tight end Tommy Sweeney (undisclosed) being placed on the Bears' practice-squad injured reserve.

Wilson signed with the Giants' practice squad Sept. 24 after failing to make the Packers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp.
