St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko is learning what Tomas Hertl of the San Jose Sharks found out last year: score an incredible goal and you’ll be the toast of the NHL. Tarasenko’s remarkable tally against the New York Rangers Monday may not be topped as the best goal of the year.

Tarasenko’s goal was an inspired combination of stickhandling and creativity, and now it has inspired something completely different. The goal inspired cartoonist Ben Zurawski of TheFlippist.com to capture Tarasenko’s goal in a whole new way – with an awesome cartoon flipbook:
