WATCH: Wild's Zach Parise forces OT with 23 seconds left vs. Blues; erases own blunder
A last-second goal pushed the Wild and Blues into OT for a wild finish to Game 1
If you went to bed after the Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers and Boston Bruins wrapped up wins on the first day of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, you missed out on the first moment of overtime-forcing drama of the NHL playoffs Wednesday night.
The St. Louis Blues were leading 1-0, and on their way to a Game 1 victory, but Minnesota's Zach Parise forced OT by scoring the equalizer with 23 seconds left in regulation.
His moment came after the Wild had a golden opportunities wiped away when Parise accidentally prevented a Minnesota goal, thanks to what would have been a highlight-reel save had he been playing for the Blues.
