Jimmy Lodge: Returns to ECHL
Lodge signed a one-year deal with ECHL Orlando after sitting out the entire 2018-19 season.
Lodge was drafted by the Jets in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft, but was never able to break into the NHL. In the AHL, the 24-year-old notched just 25 points in 114 games for his career and likely won't be making the jump back up any time soon.

Jimmy Lodge: Failing to seize opportunities
Lodge hasn't appeared in any games with AHL Utica after earning a tryout offer with the club in late September.
Lodge impressively produced 17 goals and 49 assists over 57 games for ECHL Jacksonville last season, when the center was under contract with the Jets, but given that he's yet to make his NHL debut, the 2013 third-round pick is not even a blip on the fantasy radar these days. However, Lodge is only 23 years old, so it may be too early to write him off completely.

Jimmy Lodge: Earns tryout with AHL club
Lodge will join AHL Utica on a professional tryout.
Lodge is currently under contract with ECHL Kalamazoo, but will look to move up a level and play for the Comets. After not being tendered a qualifying offer by the Jets this offseason, the 2013 third-round pick is trying to extend his professional career without a NHL deal.

Jimmy Lodge: Deemed expendable by Winnipeg
Lodge was not tendered a qualifying offer from the Jets, consequently, he'll become an unrestricted free agent July 1, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
You have to feel for Lodge, as he hasn't come remotely close to living up to expectations since the Jets picked him in the third round (84th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. In fact, the lanky centerman spent the majority of the 2017-18 campaign with ECHL Jacksonville, and he could only muster six appearances with Manitoba of the AHL. For what it's worth, he did dominate the mid-level rank to the tune of 17 goals and 32 assists over 57 games with the Icemen.

Jets' Jimmy Lodge: Standout season in ECHL
Lodge -- who spent the bulk of the year in the ECHL -- racked up 49 points in 57 outings for the Jacksonville Icemen.
Lodge started the year in training camp with the Jets, before logging just six games with AHL Manitoba and finally landing in the ECHL. While the demotion to the bottom league doesn't bode well for his long-term prospects, the center at least took advantage of his opportunity, as he was second on the team in points and led the way with 32 assists. With Jacksonville missing the Kelly Cup playoffs, the Pennsylvania native could get called up to Manitoba in order to bolster the Moose ranks heading into the AHL postseason. The 23-year-old will be a restricted free agent July 1 and may not have done enough to earn another contract from Winnipeg.

Jets' Jimmy Lodge: Heads back to minor league
Lodge was sent to AHL Manitoba on Saturday, TSN reports.
Lodge has a relatively high profile as Winnipeg's 2013 third-round (84th overall) draft selection, but we're still waiting for him to make his NHL debut. Last season, the Pennsylvania native recorded eight goals and 10 helpers (albeit with a minus-10 rating) over 63 games with AHL Manitoba.

Jets' Jimmy Lodge: Still lodging in minor leagues
Lodge has one year remaining on his entry-level contract with the Jets.
Scouts call him an industrious pivot, but Lodge is still looking to make his way into the NHL two years after putting his signature on the ELC. He's listed at 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds, begging the question of whether he can withstand the rigors of the NHL game. Lodge managed eight goals, 10 assists and 34 PIM in 63 contests with AHL Manitoba this season, but his minus-10 rating over that span is a slight concern. At 22 years old, the onus is on the Pennsylvania native to fill out physically and continue to work on his line defense to carve out a role at hockey's highest level.

Jets' Jimmy Lodge: Attending rookie camp
Lodge will participate in Winnipeg's pre-season rookie camp.
Lodge has yet to live up to the expectations that saw him selected in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft. The 21-year-old split time between the AHL and ECHL during the 2015-16 campaign, tallying a mere 14 points in 57 contests. However, the Jets are still giving him opportunities, as Lodge will skate on their top line along with fellow prospects Jack Roslovic and Kyle Connor at the Young Stars Classic. Lodge will need to impress both in camp and in the minors this season if he hopes to break into the NHL.

Jets' Jimmy Lodge: Dreadful first professional season
Lodge had a hat trick to help lead AHL Manitoba to a 5-2 win over San Antonio on Friday.
It took 43 games, but Lodge finally has his first three goals of the AHL season. It has been a legitimately dreadful season for a guy who displayed an improved scoring touch late in his junior career. The Jets are blessed with an abundance of quality prospects, but Lodge isn't one of them. The odds are stacked against the 2013 third-round pick ever becoming a useful NHL player.
