Juventus are out!
It's 4-3 at the end in Lisbon: Juventus are now officially out of the UEFA Champions League.
RB Leipzig have brought Real Madrid's unbeaten start to the season to an end with a 3-2 victory at home that puts the German side in a great spot to advance to the Champions League knockout stage. A balanced, clinical attack was enough to take advantage of Real Madrid's defensive issues before holding them off near the end of the match, preventing Los Blancos from winning their group. In Group F, Real have 10 points to lead, while RB Leipzig have nine. Shakhtar Donetsk should have nine, but more on that in a little.
Meanwhile, Juventus were eliminated from contention for the knockout rounds despite their frantic second-half comeback after a 4-3 loss to Benfica. The score doesn't do Benfica's dominance justice as the Portuguese side were ahead 3-1 by halftime but the game did see American Weston McKennie score. The result sees both Benfica and PSG qualify for the round of 16, but PSG were cruising to qualification no matter what with a 7-2 victory over Maccabi Haifa. Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe both secured braces in the match while Neymar scored a goal and forced an own goal.
With a draw against Celtic behind a brilliant goal from Mykhaylo Mudryk, Shaktar Donetsk control their own destiny as a win on Matchday 6 will see them reach the round of 16. Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund also qualified for the knockouts with a 0-0 draw that also saw Manchester City win Group G.
In the early matches of Champions League Matchday 5, a Kai Havertz wonder strike put Chelsea into the round of 16 with a 2-1 victory over RB Salzburg. With a little help from AC Milan, Chelsea have also won Group E. They got just enough as Mateo Kovacic was forgotten outside the box on Chelsea's opener before Junior Adamu equalized for Salzburg after the half. American Christian Pulisic was able to keep possession well to set up Havertz for an unlikely duo to book Chelsea's place in the knockouts as the Blues stay undefeated under Graham Potter. Sevilla also did enough to stay alive in Group G with a 3-0 victory over Copenhagen.
Here is what to know:
Chelsea, Dortmund, PSG and Benfica all punched their tickets to the round of 16 on Tuesday. They join Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Club Brugge, Napoli and Manchester City as teams to have advanced.

If Shakhtar Donestk don't make the round of 16, they may look at this very moment. Danylo Sikan had an absolutely golden chance to give his team a 2-1 lead at Celtic with a wide-open goal, yet he did this:
An extraordinary miss. The match would end at 1-1, leaving the Ukrainian side three points back with a game to go.
In all competitions, the Blues now have six wins and three draws in their nine matches under Grahm Potter as everything he touches turns into a goal. Even this match where he made an unorthodox decision of playing both Raheem Sterling and Pulisic as wing-backs worked in his favor with Pulisic doing a good job to keep the ball under pressure before setting up Havertz for the winner while Serling created quite a few chances floating inside. But was Mateo Kovacic's goal that stole the show. He went from tying his boot to hanging around the box, and once the ball found him, he knew what to do with it. Questions should be asked of the RB Salzburg defense for picking up on his run so late but it took quite a finish to open the scoring.
While Erling Haaland was hooked at the half for Manchester City, after having an uncharacteristically human day, City had an excellent chance to win the match from the penalty spot as Mahrez took a penalty in the 57th minute. But it wasn't a great take as Gegor Kobel guessed right to keep the low penalty out of the net. Mahrez has now only made one of three penalties that he has taken in Champions League this season as he has also struggled to score from open play with only two goals and one assist in all competitions. We could be witnessing the decline of Mahrez as the 31-year-old has been more of a liability than a help when on the pitch this season. With Julian Alvarez pushing for more time, the right-wing position is one to watch.
An eight-season streak of Juventus making at least the knockout stages of Champions League has come to an end at the hands of Benfica. While this has been coming as it mirrors their Serie A struggles as well, the timing with the success of Napoli, AC Milan, and Inter Milan does show a changing of the guard in Italy. For the United States men's national team, McKennie's goal will be a bright spot as it was scored via following up on chances.
Our Francesco Porzio has more on Juve here.
Is Mbappe happier with the switch to a free-flowing front three at PSG? If his performance versus Maccabi Haifa is anything to go off of, the answer may be yes. This was the third time that PSG have scored seven goals in a Champions League match and the first time since their 7-1 defeat of Celtic in 2017. Messi and Mbappe had a brace of goals and a brace of assists while Neymar scored and forced an own goal. The defense has some questions to answer after allowing Abdoulaye Seck to score twice, but Maccabi Haifa have been great at staying in matches.
It's tough to pick the best goal of the bunch but Mbappe's second was quite a display of his first touch:
It's 4-3 at the end in Lisbon: Juventus are now officially out of the UEFA Champions League.
The second half is over with no goals. It's 0-0 at the end between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City.
AC Milan won 4-0 and are now close to reach the next round. Against RB Salzburg they need at least one point to secure the spot for the round of 16.
This is a lot of goals even for PSG as Soler has scored the seventh of the match following an assist from Messi.
More trouble for Real Madrid as the defense hasn't been up to the challenge today. It's Timo Werner off the bench and onto the scoresheet.
Juventus scored two goals in three minutes with Arek Milik and American International Weston McKennie. It's 4-3 now in Lisbon!
Shon Goldberg has played a pass into his own net for PSG's sixth goal of the day. It keeps going. Renato Sanches has been replaced by Carlos Soler after that.
Mbappe has a brace now as this match has seen seven combined goals. Absolutely wild stuff here.
Olivier Giroud scored a penalty and Pioli's team are now getting closer to get the full points in Zagreb.
It's Murdyk who has their goal to cut Celtic apart on the counter attack.
Mahrez had the opportunity to score the first goal of the night in Dortmund but his penalty is saved by Kobel. Still 0-0 as of now.
Seck has a brace now as they're within two goals of PSG again as the goal was confirmed after a VAR review.
4-1 in Lisbon where Rafa Silva scored again after a very poor defensive performance of Leonardo Bonucci. Juventus are now basically out of the competition.
It's 2-0 in Zagreb where AC Milan scored the second goal of the match with Rafael Leao. Pioli's team are now getting closer to an important win.
Two changes for Pep Guardiola at halftime, with Erling Haaland coming off for Manchester City. Bernardo Silva replaces him.
While AC Milan are ahead away against Dinamo Zagreb at the end of the first half, Juventus are down 3-1 against Benfica and are now one step away from the elimination.
PSG are scoring at a ridiculous clip as Messi hit a stunning strike and this match is all but over.
Vini Jr. scores one of the easiest headers that he'll have to bring Real Madrid within a goal of RB Leipzig.
It was a free kick that PSG fell asleep on but Maccabi Haifa continue to show that you can't ignore them in Champions League play as Seck has the goal.
Matteo Gabbia's header (and first ever goal with the Rossoneri) put AC Milan ahead against Dinamo Zagreb. Pioli's team is now second in the table of the group stage. The away side need to keep this result until the end.
Neymar has now scored as PSG are rolling in their match. Just lovely stuff at home in France.
