Norwich City vs. Liverpool: Premier League live stream, TV channel, watch online, news, odds, start time
The winners of the Championship face a tough task on their return to the top flight

Norwich City's return to the Premier League begins in challenging fashion as they host Liverpool at Carrow Road with Jurgen Klopp's side likely to look far more like the force that won the title in 2019-20. Though Andy Robertson is out, the return of Virgil van Dijk will bring solidity to a defense that fell apart without him last season.

Storylines
Norwich City: With Teemu Pukki having battled COVID-19 during the summer, US international and new signing Josh Sargent may be able to feature in a greater capacity than might have otherwise been expected for a player who only joined at the start of the week. As much an investment for the long haul as this season, he has already made a big impression on his new boss Daniel Farke.
"He is a player who is full of potential," said the Norwich head coach. "He works his socks off for his team. He ticked many, many boxes and we all have big hopes that he can develop and have a major impact for the future." Whether he might be tasked with influencing Norwich's performance in the more immediate term remains to be seen.
Liverpool: With their transfer business so far confined to Ibrahima Konate's arrival from RB Leipzig, this summer has largely focused on Liverpool doubling down on their core as on Friday Van Dijk followed the likes of Fabinho, Alisson and Trent Alexander-Arnold in recommitting to fresh terms. Though in the latter's case there is plenty of time on his side the others will almost certainly be in their post prime whilst they are on improved new terms.
Though there may be some changes to the starting XI this season -- perhaps Konate replaces Joe Gomez and Diogo Jota definitively usurps Roberto Firmino -- but for the most part Jurgen Klopp has committed to running back a side that have been at the pinnacle of their collective games for some time now. The defensive injuries of 2020-21 mean it's far from clear whether they can hit those heights again as they age up.
Prediction
Those longer term concerns for Liverpool are probably best parked for another day. At Carrow Road they may well offer Norwich a harsh reminder of the step up in class that comes with promotion to the Premier League. PICK: Norwich 0 Liverpool 2
