Out of the top five most valuable sports franchises in the world, per Forbes, three come from the beautiful game.
Soccer has three of the top five most valuable franchises on earth, with Real Madrid the highest ranked soccer team and No. 2 overall. Here are the top 10 in the world, with Real Madrid leading the way when it comes to highest revenue at $694 million during the 2014-15 season.
1. Dallas Cowboys (NFL), $4 billion
2. Real Madrid, $3.65 billion
3. Barcelona, $3.55 billion
4. New York Yankees (MLB), $3.4 billion
5. Manchester United, $3.32 billion
6. New England Patriots (NFL), $3.2 billion
7. New York Knicks (NBA), $3 billion
8. Washington Redskins (NFL), $2.85 billion
9. New York Giants (NFL), $2.8 billion
10. Los Angeles Lakers (NBA), $2.7 billion
