WWE Raw results, live recap, grades: Punk vs. Rollins set for Netflix debut, War Raiders win world tag titles
A major match was set for Raw's Netflix debut while the tag titles changed hands in the main event
As WWE Raw winds up its final few weeks on USA before the move to Netflix, Monday's episode of the show featured something big for the future as well as another memorable moment for the USA era.
After trading more verbal barbs, Seth Rollins and CM Punk came to blows to open the show. This all led to the announcement that the rivals would finally share the ring when they meet on Raw's Netflix debut.
That exciting open to the show was matched by the main event, which saw War Raiders score a win over Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of Judgment Day to win the world tag team championship.
CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from TD Garden in Boston.
CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins set for Raw's Netflix debut
CM Punk opened the show with a promo. Pun said he knew it was only a matter of time before he'd be interrupted by Seth Rollins, and after Punk continued to throw verbal jabs, Rollins did just that. Rollins was in the crowd, saying he wanted to see if looking at Punk from a different perspective, one where Punk fans chanted his name, would change his opinion but that Punk still looked "like an a–hole." Rollins eventually pushed the right one of Punk's buttons, saying he would always have more WrestleMania main events than Punk. This sent Punk running into the crowd and kicking off an extended brawl as WWE officials attempted to separate the two men.
Adam Pearce confronted Rollins after the brawl. Rollins told Pearce he wanted a match with Punk and to do his job and get it done. Pearce responded that if Rollins could keep himself in check, maybe some business could get done. That did, in fact, happen, with Pearce announcing later in the show that Punk and Rollins were officially set for a match on the Jan. 6 debut of Raw on Netflix.
It was always expected that WWE would blow out the Netflix debut like a major event. However, booking Punk vs. Rollins is maybe a step beyond what would have been expected prior to just recently. Punk and Rollins has been a thing since the night Punk returned at Survivor Series 2023 and they're going to be facing off during Raw. Set aside that WWE booked yet another pull-apart brawl after it feels like every recent show has had at least once, it's worth getting excited to see that match on Netflix. Grade: A
What else happened on WWE Raw?

- Rey Mysterio refused New Day entry into the locker room. Mysterio said he and the rest of the roster didn't want to share space with them after New Day turned their backs on Big E.
- Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio cut a promo in celebration of Morgan successfully defending the women's world championship against Iyo Sky at Saturday Night's Main Event. This was interrupted by Rhea Ripley, who told Morgan she had been officially named No. 1 contender and that it was time for the two women to end things once and for all.
- Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre brawled backstage. Seth Rollins was being interviewed when the brawl broke out behind him, leading to WWE officials separating the two.
- Karrion Kross told Miz that Miz would have to face Dexter Lumis next Monday night.
- Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament -- Zoey Stark def. Kayden Carter and Raquel Rodriguez via pinfall after hitting Z-360 on Carter to advance to the tournament semifinals.
- World Tag Team Championship -- War Raiders def. Judgment Day (c) via pinfall to win the titles. After the expected back-and-forth action, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh appeared to have a plan, with McDonagh getting caught bringing a steel chair into the ring so Balor could grab one from ringside to finish off the War Raiders. Instead, Balor's attempt to cheat was cut off by Damian Priest, who had been hiding at ringside. This set up McDonagh to take the pin after the Raiders hit War Machine and a big title change in the main event.
