WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Drew McIntyre gets violent revenge after Bash in Berlin loss to CM Punk

Anyone who thought the issues between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk were finished after Punk won their strap match at Bash in Berlin was badly mistaken. McIntyre violently attacked Punk during Raw, sending the superstar from the arena in an ambulance.

Punk was attempting to turn his attention to Gunther and the world heavyweight championship when McIntyre struck. McIntyre delivered several Claymores to Punk before breaking the bracelet with the names of Punk's wife and dog that has been central to their ongoing feud.

Now, it appears Punk and McIntyre are destined to clash at least one more time.

CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Ball Arena in Denver.

Drew McIntyre gets violent revenge after Bash in Berlin loss to CM Punk

Drew McIntyre attacked CM Punk as Punk cut a promo claiming he put McIntyre in the rear-view mirror by winning their strap match at Bash in Berlin. Punk would go on to call out world heavyweight champion, Gunther, reminding everyone that his concern was making money.

It was at that point that McIntyre attacked, hitting multiple Claymores. McIntyre then took back the bracelet Punk reclaimed in Berlin. McIntyre broke the bracelet before shoving beads in Punk's mouth and hitting another Claymore. As Punk was being stretchered to an ambulance after a commercial break, McIntyre attacked again, ripping off Punk's neck brace and gouging Punk's eyes.

Obviously, the issues between Punk and McIntyre weren't going to end with the series even at one win apiece. Hopefully, McIntyre breaking the bracelet is the end of that unnecessary trinket in what is otherwise a blood feud. It's hard to imagine what the next step is for the two after their Bash in Berlin strap match but at least one more go-round is in the future and it should be a violent affair. Grade: B+

What else happened on WWE Raw?

Rhea Ripley opened the show with a promo. After talking about pinning Liv Morgan at Bash in Berlin, Ripley called Morgan out. Dominik Mysterio said Morgan wasn't there but that she would beat Ripley anytime, anywhere. Morgan then attacked Ripley from behind and hung Ripley up in the ropes after Ripley initially fought off the attack. Damian Priest made the save but not before Ripley's knee was worked over by Morgan.

American Made def. Alpha Academy via submission when Ivy Nile locked Maxxine Dupri in a dragon sleeper. After the match, Chad Gable challenged the Wyatt Sicks to an eight-person tag team street fight. Uncle Howdy answered with a cryptic promo, claiming his life was no longer his own, claiming Gable had gambled his very being and that the Wyatt Sicks would collect the debt.

Shayna Baszler def. Zelina Vega via pinfall with a knee to the face when Vega was distracted by Pure Fusion Collective. The group attacked Vega after the match until Lyra Valkyria ran in to make the save. The numbers advantage for the Collective eventually won out.

Ilja Dragunov def. Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio via pinfall to advance to the finals of the tournament to determine a No. 1 contender for the intercontinental championship. After Priest ran in to chase off Mysterio, Dragunov and Lee battled until Dragunov hit Torpedo Moscow to advance.

Sami Zayn threw down a challenge to Gunther. Gunther was out to discuss his win over Randy Orton at Bash in Berlin, giving Orton credit for a stiff challenge, when Zayn's music hit. Gunther said he understands that Zayn's fire is why the fans love him but refused Zayn's challenge for the world heavyweight championship. Zayn claimed Gunther is scared because Zayn was the man to end his record-breaking intercontinental championship reign, No matter what, Zayn said, he will become world heavyweight champion.

Braun Strowman def. Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser via pinfall to advance to the finals of the tournament to determine a No. 1 contender for the intercontinental championship. Strowman, still injured from Bronson Reed's attack last week, stepped in when Reed was announced as not medically cleared for the match. Pete Dunn ran in to attack Sheamus with a shillelagh, taking him out of the match and allowing Strowman to get the win with a powerslam.

Damian Priest & Jey Uso def. Finn Balor & JD McDonagh via pinfall after Priest hit McDonagh with a razor's edge before Uso hit an Uso Splash for the win. After Judgment Day's attack on Ripley earlier in the night, Priest wanted a match with Balor but Balor would only accept a tag match. Ripley said she had an idea for Priest's partner, leading to Uso entering the match. Morgan interfered, which brought out Ripley, who chased her away with a crutch and set up the finish.
