WWE SmackDown live updates, results: Cody Rhodes hunts Drew McIntyre; Wyatt Sicks defend tag team titles

Ahead of SmackDown, Rhodes invaded McIntyre's home

Cody Rhodes has some explaining to do. The undisputed WWE champion stormed onto Drew McIntyre's property earlier this week, seeking revenge on his longtime rival. Rhodes returns to SmackDown on Friday to explain his actions.

Last week, SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis informed Rhodes that McIntyre had refused to return to the blue brand, citing an unsafe work environment. The rivalry escalated after McIntyre crashed Rhodes' match with NXT champion Oba Femi at Saturday Night's Main Event. Aldis met with McIntyre at the latter's home earlier this week. Rhodes crashed the private meeting, so expect repercussions when Aldis sees the champ.

Four matches are advertised for Friday's show. The most important is a WWE tag team title match between The Wyatt Sicks and The MFTs. A rivalry has been brewing between Uncle Howdy and Solo Sikoa's factions. Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis will represent The Wyatt Sicks against a mystery pairing among The MFTs. Also announced is a tag team match featuring United States champion Ilja Dragunov.
