What to know about each team

Louisville

Sunday’s second round matchup with Michigan could be one of the best games of the weekend, and to win it Rick Pitino’s squad will need to play better than it did in the first round vs. Jacksonville State when the Cards got off to a bad start, got dominated by Jacksonville State big man Norbertas Giga and finally used its athleticism and talent advantage to open up the game in the second half.

Michigan

Michigan made 16 3-pointers and got by against a like-minded team on Oklahoma State. Now, comes the opposite. Louisville is among the best in defense in college basketball. This game is a rematch of the 2013 national championship which Louisville won. Michigan’s Derrick Walton Jr. is going to have another tough test, but he fared well against OSU’s Jawun Evans.
