Marlins' Robert Andino: Called up by the Marlins

Andino's contract was purchased from Triple-A New Orleans on Sunday, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.

Andino will serve as an extra bat in on the Miami roster following the placement of outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (groin) on the DL. He's seen most of his time in the minors this season at shortstop, but has also played at second base, left field and center field. If he gets into the lineup, he does provide modest power -- 13 home runs and a .746 OPS through 419 at-bats for the Zephyrs this season.
