Garrett inked a fully guaranteed $30.4 million contract with the Browns on Saturday, which includes a $20.25 million signing bonus and a fifth-year club option, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The top overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft will now be able to continue offseason activities, as well as head into training camp without an unsettled contract situation hanging over his head. Garrett recently admitted he was only 75 percent healthy during his final year at Texas A&M due to an ankle injury, but by all accounts he is currently in full health. At 6-foot-4, 272 pounds, he projects to start right away for the Browns, and figures to be difficult to slow down from the edge for years to come.
