Buccaneers' Vernon Hargreaves: Opens OTAs on second team

Hargreaves has opened OTAs on the second team, Joe Kania of the team's official site reports.

The 2016 first-round pick is getting his feet wet with the second unit, and has already impressed. Hargreaves shadowed second-year speedster Kenny Bell down the left sideline in Wednesday's session, and hauled in a pass intended for the wideout thanks to his blanket coverage. Given his pedigree and draft status, the rookie is expected to eventually secure a starting cornerback spot opposite free-agent signee Brent Grimes in the beleaguered Bucs secondary this season.
