The UFC has a new middleweight champion. Michael Bisping took a challenge from the UFC to fight Luke Rockhold on short notice and walked through the champion for a first-round knockout at Saturday's main event of UFC 199.

On 17 days notice, Bisping was able to what only one other fighter had done to Rockhold in the UFC -- score a knockout win. It took him 10 years to get his first title shot and Bisping did not disappoint.

Bisping caught Rockhold with a strong right that knocked him down, but Rockhold was able to scramble and get to his feet. However, the second time, Bisping left no doubt.

Rockhold was in disbelief after the fight that he let that happen.

"I took him for granted," Rockhold said after the fight.

This was the third-biggest upset in UFC history as Bisping was +500 heading into his fight with Rockhold, only behind Holly Holm beating Ronda Rousey and T.J. Dillashaw losing to Renan Barao.

"I've always been a fighter. It's gotten me into trouble, but it's what got me here in the first place," Bisping said. "I wanted this rematch really bad."

In the past three months, Bisping has beaten arguably the best fighter in UFC history, Anderson Silva, and claimed the middleweight crown. Oh, and he was part of the new Triple X movie with Vin Diesel. Not a bad stretch.

"It was the easiest night of my life, easiest fight, easiest payday," Bisping said after the fight. "Thank you, Luke."
