UFC 200: Brock Lesnar beats Mark Hunt in return after five-year layoff
Brock Lesnar was able to take down Mark Hunt and win by unanimous decision in his UFC return
Brock Lesnar had not fought in a mixed martial arts event since December 2011, but on Saturday night, he returned to the octagon and proved nothing had changed by beating Mark Hunt via unanimous decision at UFC 200.
The hard-hitting Hunt was never able to find his range when the fight was standing up as Lesnar made sure to stay out at a safe distance to avoid Hunt's devastating power, and when Lesnar was able to get his hands on Hunt his superior strength and ground game was on display.
Lesnar dominated the first and third rounds by throwing Hunt to the ground and maintaining top control for the majority of each round. Hunt, who is a kickboxer, had no answers on the ground and wasn't able to escape Lesnar's control. While on top, Lesnar was able to do some effective ground and pound, battering Hunt's face with hammer-fists and punches.

It was clearly a little awkward for Lesnar at first, but his raw strength and wrestling ability -- and commitment to not making a mistake while on his feet -- was able to overcome that rust.
"It took me a while to get acclimated," said Lesnar in his post-fight interview. "Words can't describe it. Thank you so much."
Lesnar wouldn't commit to making a full comeback in his post-fight interview, saying he's taking it one day at a time -- he has a match at WWE Summerslam up next -- but with the way he performed against Hunt, who is a top-10 ranked heavyweight, there will certainly be plenty of interest in a Lesnar full-time comeback.
