Rio Olympics: Simone Biles ties record with fourth gold, Aly Raisman takes silver
Simone Biles dominated the floor exercise once again to make history
As we saw Monday as she slipped on the balance beam, Simone Biles is human. It didn't take long for her to remind the world of her greatness, however.
With yet another awe-inspiring routine in floor exercise, Biles scored a 15.966 to collect her fourth gold medal of the Rio Olympics. That ties the women's record for most gymnastics gold medals in a single Summer Games.
U.S. teammate Aly Raisman, who won individual gold in floor exercise in the London Olympics, finished with the silver after yet another jaw-dropper of a routine, which scored a 15.500. Great Britain's Amy Tinkler earned the bronze.

Biles took gold in team all-around, individual all-around, vault and now floor to become only the fifth woman in history to claim four gymnastics gold medals in a single Olympics. She also collected a bronze medal for her finish on the balance beam, which cost her a shot at becoming the first female five-time gold medalist in gymnastics in a single Olympics.
Biles shook off her lost opportunity at setting the record, reminding everyone that she still had four medals in her first Olympics.

By Tuesday, her game face was right back on as she prepared for her final event, still with a chance to put her name in the record books alongside her veteran teammate.

Then she went out and killed it in an event that she has made one of the absolute must-watch moments in these Olympics. Biles attacked the floor exercise as she had throughout the 2016 Games, highlighted by her signature move, "The Biles."
Raisman, meanwhile, continued to prove that she remains one of the elite gymnasts in the world. With her third medal of these Olympics, which includes gold in the team all-around and silver in the individual all-around, Raisman pushed her Olympic career total to six medals. She won gold in team all-around, gold in floor exercise and bronze on balance beam during the 2012 Olympics in London.
With the floor exercise closing the artistic gymnastics portion of the Rio Olympics, the U.S. women's gymnastics team collected a grand total of nine medals with the team collecting gold, Biles earning her four individual medals, Raisman with two, Laurie Hernandez taking silver on beam and Madison Kocian taking silver on uneven bars.
It is a great way for legendary coach Martha Karolyi to head into retirement, with her Final Five, led by an all-time great individual performance from Biles, going down as one of the best teams in the history of the sport.
