Georgia Tech vs. Florida State score: Yellow Jackets take down Seminoles for first ACC title since 1993
Georgia Tech is heading to its first NCAA Tournament since 2010 after the big win

Georgia Tech claimed the ACC Tournament title on Saturday after knocking off No. 2 seed Florida State 80-75. The outcome sends Georgia Tech into the NCAA Tournament on an eight-game winning streak in what amounts to a stunning resurrection for the program under fifth-year coach Josh Pastner. It's Georgia Tech's first ACC title since 1993.
When the Yellow Jackets stood at just 9-8 after a loss to Clemson on Feb. 12, it seemed as though Pastner's future may be in jeopardy in Atlanta. But a veteran roster, led by ACC Player of the Year Moses Wright and fellow senior Jose Alvarado, buckled down to carry the team from outside the NCAA Tournament conversation to the program's first Big Dance appearance 2010.
Both Georgia Tech and Florida State enjoyed abbreviated runs through the ACC Tournament. The Seminoles had their quarterfinal game against Duke canceled because of a COVID-19 issue for the Blue Devils, while Georgia Tech had its semifinal game with Virginia wiped out because of a similar issue for the Cavaliers. But that fact won't diminish the sense of accomplishment for Pastner and his crew as the Yellow Jackets enter the NCAA Tournament with momentum.
