Who's Playing

North Carolina @ Clemson

Current Records: North Carolina 16-7; Clemson 12-10

What to Know

The Clemson Tigers and the North Carolina Tar Heels are set to square off in an ACC matchup at 6 p.m. ET Feb. 8 at Littlejohn Coliseum. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'

Clemson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 69-64 to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Clemson's loss came about despite a quality game from forward PJ Hall, who had 18 points along with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, UNC entered their matchup against the Duke Blue Devils this past Saturday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. The Tar Heels have to be aching after a bruising 87-67 defeat to Duke. Guard Caleb Love wasn't much of a difference maker for UNC; Love picked up four fouls and turned the ball over four times en route to a 3-for-10, 8-point finish.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Clemson is expected to win a tight contest Tuesday. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (9-4), so they might be worth a quick bet.

The Tigers didn't have too much trouble with UNC at home when the two teams previously met in February of last year as they won 63-50. Will Clemson repeat their success, or does UNC have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
