What to Know

The Lafayette Leopards and the American Eagles are set to square off in a Patriot matchup at 7 p.m. ET Jan. 24 at Bender Arena. The Leopards will be strutting in after a win while American will be stumbling in from a loss.

Lafayette had enough points to win and then some against the Army West Point Black Knights last week, taking their game 68-54. Lafayette's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but forward Neal Quinn led the charge as he had 12 points along with five rebounds.

Meanwhile, American was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 78-73 to the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds. Guard Stacy Beckton Jr. wasn't much of a difference maker for American; Beckton Jr. finished with ten points on 4-for-11 shooting in his 35 minutes on the court.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Leopards are expected to win a tight contest Monday. But bettors beware: they are only 1-4 against the spread when favored.
