North Dakota State player hits incredible off-balance 3-pointer into wrong basket
Khy Kabellis hit one of the shots of the year. But it was for the wrong team.
It's Feb. 11, and we already have the most impressive trick shot of the year locked down thanks to North Dakota State's Khy Kabellis.
Chasing a ball flying out of bounds, Kabellis caught up to it and flung the ball backward with one hand and straight into the basket. Of the opposing team!
"I tipped the ball away to try and get a rebound," Kabellis told CBS Sports. "I knew there was a guy right behind me and there was guys toward the half-court on the other team, so I tried to throw it cross-court to one of my teammates. But I ended up putting a little too much air on it and the rest is history."

Fortunately for Kabellis, his North Dakota State team rolled to an 81-63 win over Denver in Fargo. That wrong basket didn't prove costly after all and made for a funny memory, one his teammates likely won't let him live down anytime soon.
"My teammates were giving me a hard time about it," said Kabellis. "In fact, they still are. If it would have been a two-point loss it would've been tough to swallow."
