Houston transfer Danuel House is headed to Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-7 Texas native announced the decision on his Twitter account, and a source confirmed the news to CBSSports.com.
Texas A&M was the only school in Texas that received a release for House, who left Houston after the Cougars fired James Dickey and hired Kelvin Sampson. House and TaShawn Thomas didn't initially receive releases from the school, but later received them with three stipulations: no schools in Texas, no schools in the AAC, and no school on Houston's schedule for the next two seasons. Thomas ended up choosing Oklahoma over Miami.
Whether House pursues a waiver to play immediately remains to be seen.
House is a talented small forward who averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds as a sophomore for Houston. He is a former top-40 recruit.
