Miami vs. Texas A&M live updates: Hurricanes, Aggies collide in College Football Playoff first round

No. 7 Texas A&M hosts No. 10 Miami in a pivotal College Football Playoff game on Saturday morning at Kyle Field. The Aggies prepare for their first playoff appearance after a historic 11-1 campaign, the best regular season since 1994.

For Miami, the playoff provides new life after two close losses in ACC play prevented them from playing for a conference championship. Through the first four weeks of the season, the Hurricanes were seemingly unstoppable behind a powerful defensive line duo of Rueben Bain and Akheem Mesidor. To pull the upset in College Station, that unit must lock in.

Texas A&M and Miami have played five times in history, with the Aggies holding a 3-2 advantage. However, this is the first time both programs have played with national championship implications in decades.

Keep it locked here as CBS Sports provides you with live updates, highlights and analysis as Miami battles with Texas A&M in a first-round College Football Playoff game.

Moss a game-time decision

Texas A&M running back Le'Veon Moss has been upgraded to a game-time decision for the first-round playoff game. Moss, the Aggies' top running back, has been limited to only six games and has not played against Florida on Oct. 11.

For Miami, three players remain out against Texas A&M: Defensive back Damari Brown, linebacker Malik Bryant and wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw. However, top cornerback Keionte Scott will make his return for the first time since Nov. 15.

Nick Saban says Texas A&M pipes in crowd noise at Kyle Field

Few opposing coaches know Texas A&M's Kyle Field as well as Nick Saban. The legendary former Crimson Tide boss did battle with the Aggies six times in College Station with an impressive 5-1 record in those meetings.

Apparently, one aspect of Texas A&M's home-field advantage stood out to Saban. During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Saban claimed that Texas A&M pipes artificial noise into Kyle Field during games.
