    Taulapapa was waived by Seattle on Sunday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

    Taulapapa spent most of the offseason in Seattle but was unable to make enough of an impact to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. It's unclear whether the undrafted rookie will be able to find a role with another organization.

  • Seahawks' Wayne Taulapapa: Signs with Seattle

    Taulapapa signed a contract with the Seahawks on Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

    The running back fills a roster spot after the team let go defensive tackle Anthony Montalvo on Thursday. Taulapapa went undrafted out of the University of Washington, joined the Seahawks for rookie minicamp and training camp and then got waived less than a week ago. The rookie is competing for a depth role and has a chance to play in Saturday's preseason game versus the Cowboys.

    Taulapapa signed with the Seahawks on Friday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

    Taulapapa spent four seasons at Virginia before transferring to Washington in 2022, where he turned 140 carries into 887 yards and 11 touchdowns while adding 24 catches for 225 yards and a touchdown. He'll look to compete for a depth spot in a backfield that is headlined by Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas.
