Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Struggles in elevated role
Mumpfield secured two of five targets for 10 yards during Monday's 27-24 loss to the Falcons.
For the second straight week, Mumpfield brought in less than half of his targets from Matthew Stafford, including an overthrown pass in the second quarter that Jessie Bates intercepted and returned 34 yards for a touchdown. Mumpfield has gotten an extended look in the last six weeks, with at least 20 snaps played on offense during each contest, but an 8-80-0 receiving line on 17 targets over that span doesn't inspire much confidence for fantasy purposes. Week 18 against the Cardinals still has meaning for the Rams in terms of playoff seeding, but even with Davante Adams (hamstring) still recovering from injury, Mumpfield's production seems unlikely to deviate much from his recent trends.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Three catches in OT loss
Mumpfield secured three of eight targets for 40 yards in the Rams' 38-37 overtime loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night.
Mumpfield helped fill in for the sidelined Davante Adams (hamstring/knee) and drew the second-most targets on the night from Matthew Stafford, although he still only got to half of team leader Puka Nacua's total. Mumpfield wasn't efficient with his opportunities, but he still finished with new career highs in receptions, receiving yards and targets. Mumpfield could continue in an expanded role in a Week 17 road matchup against the Falcons on Monday night, Dec. 29 if Adams remains sidelined for that contest.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Helps fill in for Adams in Week 15
Mumpfield failed to haul in his lone target while playing 32 of the Rams' 72 snaps on offense in Sunday's 41-34 win over the Lions.
Mumpfield's 44 percent snap share placed him third among Rams wideouts behind Puka Nacua (56 percent) and Davante Adams (46 percent). Nacua's snap count was suppressed due to a mid-game bout with cramps, while Adams aggravated a hamstring strain during the contest. With Adams' availability for Thursday's game against the Seahawks seemingly in jeopardy, Mumpfield would likely stand to be one of the main beneficiaries from a playing-time standpoint if the six-time Pro Bowler is unable to play. However, the Rams are also likely to lean heavily on two, or even three, tight-end packages like they did this past Sunday, when Colby Parkinson, Terrance Ferguson and Davis Allen all handled snap shares exceeding 70 percent. With that in mind, Mumpfield may not shape up as an especially enticing fantasy option.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Upgrades to full practice Thursday
Mumpfield (calf) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
The return to full participation is a great sign for Mumpfield, who had his most productive game of the season in Sunday night's win over the Buccaneers. If the wide receiver avoids a setback Friday, he will likely be good to go for Sunday's matchup with the Panthers.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Limited by calf injury
Mumpfield (calf) logged a limited practice Wednesday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Mumpfield had his most productive game of the season in Week 12, logging two receptions for 25 yards while playing 42 percent of offensive snaps. He was also apparently banged up in the process, leaving his status unclear for a Week 13 matchup against the Panthers.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Fails to record a target
Mumpfield played 30 snaps on offense during Sunday's 34-10 victory against the Saints.
Despite another big day from Matthew Stafford (24-of-32 for 281 yards and four touchdowns), Tutu Atwell (hamstring) being out and Puka Nacua (chest) missing a chunk of the second half, Mumpfield failed to keep the momentum from his first NFL touchdown in Week 7 against the Jaguars in London. Mumpfield could find himself with a bigger role if Nacua's injury persists into a Week 10 divisional showdown with the 49ers, with Xavier Smith and Jordan Whittington also vying for additional playing time behind Davante Adams.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Notches first NFL touchdown
Mumpfield secured his only target for five yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 35-7 victory against the Jaguars.
Mumpfield's maiden touchdown of his NFL career came when he got past Jourdan Lewis and caught a five-yard dart from Matthew Stafford in the end zone. This was the first of Stafford's five touchdown passes, but despite the initial touchdown grab, Mumpfield wouldn't see another target on the day. The lack of targets isn't atypical, as this was just his second catch on the year. Despite a season-high 28 snaps on offense in the contest, Mumpfield is likely to revert to his light usage once Puka Nacua (ankle) returns from injury. The Rams are on bye in Week 8 before the Saints come to town in Week 9.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Held without a catch
Mumpfield recorded six snaps on offense and two snaps on special teams during Sunday's 14-9 win against the Texans.
Eight different players saw targets from Matthew Stafford on Sunday, but only Mumpfield and Jordan Whittington (who did have a five-yard rush) failed to record a target out of the Rams' group of wideouts. Given Mumpfield's rookie status, this isn't a real surprise, but fantasy managers hoping to see what the seventh-rounder can do in regular season action may be waiting for a while given the commanding snap share of Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell through one game.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Works as starter
Mumpfield recorded two catches on four targets for 12 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 23-22 preseason win over the Chargers.
The Rams rested all of their key pass catchers, including Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington. That gave Mumpfield the chance to start, and he delivered a four-yard touchdown reception midway through the first quarter on a quick slant pattern. Mumpfield appears to be the favorite for the fifth spot on the wide receiver depth chart, particularly after drawing praise from coach Sean McVay earlier in training camp.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Won't miss time
Rams coach Sean McVay said Sunday that Mumpfield (ankle) won't miss any time after departing Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys early, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Mumpfield already appears healthy after suffering an ankle injury during Saturday's preseason game against Dallas. Expect him to take the field for preseason action against the Chargers on Saturday, Aug. 16, as he continues to compete for a depth roster spot at wide receiver.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Picks up ankle injury
Mumpfield (ankle) exited Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys early due to an injury, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Mumpfield secured two of five targets for 24 yards prior to his exit Saturday. He was officially labeled 'questionable' to return Saturday, so it's possible had the affair not been a preseason contest, Mumpfield would have retaken the field. He'll work to get healthy in time to suit up for preseason action against the Chargers on Saturday, Aug. 16.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Catching McVay's attention
Rams coach Sean McVay said Saturday that Mumpfield is "one of the guys that has really shined" during training camp.
McVay was similarly pleased in April when the Rams drafted Mumpfield in the seventh round, saying on video that the Pittsburgh product was easily the best wideout left on the board. A key role early in the season is unlikely with Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington competing for the No. 3 job, but Mumpfield at least appears on track for a roster spot. Mumpfield was a four-year starter at Akron and Pittsburgh, finishing each season in the ranges of 44 to 63 receptions and 551 to 813 receiving yards, before his draft stock took a hit at the 2025 Combine when he ran a 4.59 40 at 5-foot-11, 186 pounds.

Rams' Konata Mumpfield: Productive wideout scooped by Rams
The Rams selected Mumpfield in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 242nd overall.
Mumpfield led Akron as a freshman with 63 receptions for 751 yards and eight touchdowns. He spent the next three seasons as a starter at Pittsburgh, rotating between reps outside and in the slot and leading the team in receiving as a senior. His NFL Combine performance left a lot to be desired, as he ran a 4.59 40-yard dash at 5-foot-11, 186 pounds, but he was consistently productive across his entire collegiate career. His main feature is his route-running ability, and now he'll get to learn behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams in Los Angeles as he vies for a roster spot during training camp.
