Blue Jays' Arnold Leon: Traded to Blue Jays

Leon was traded to the Blue Jays on Tuesday for cash considerations or a player to be named later.

After designating Leon for assignment shortly before the New Year, the Athletics found a trade partner for the 27-year-old right-hander and will receive either cash or a PTBNL in return. Leon worked a 4.39 ERA out of the Oakland bullpen last season and will likely compete for a spot in Toronto's crowded but unsettled bullpen this spring.
