Cardinals' Tim Cooney: Remains sidelined with arm injury

Cooney remains on the 7-day DL for Triple-A Memphis, as he is still dealing with shoulder soreness that has kept him sidelined since spring training, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Although more details on the injury have not been released and the Cardinals are still calling it soreness, the amount of time Cooney has missed due to this injury is concerning, as we have no idea when he'll be able to pitch again. Cooney made six solid starts for the Cardinals last season, posting a 3.16 ERA, and figured to be one of the first in line to get a major league start in the event the Cardinals needed to recall a starter.
