Casey Fien: Cut loose by Phillies

The Phillies have released Fien, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander was recently on the 60-day disabled list with shoulder issues but had been pitching for Triple-A Lehigh Valley on rehab work. Fien combined for 12 major-league innings with the Phillies and Mariners in 2017, absorbing an ugly 12.75 ERA in that time. He'll look to catch on elsewhere.
