Cubs' Steven Brault: Rehab assignment on tap

Brault (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Brault has been on the injured list since late August due to a shoulder strain but has been throwing off a mound recently. It's possible that he'll be able to rejoin the Cubs' bullpen following a relatively brief rehab assignment.
