Indians' Bradley Zimmer: Activated, optioned to Triple-A

Zimmer (side) was activated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Friday.

Zimmer has battled side and shoulder issues all season. He's hit .333/.412/.600 in 12 minor-league games thus far. He's a strong candidate to be called up shortly after rosters expand once he's gotten a chance to shake off some rust with Columbus.
