Reds' Kyle Waldrop: Optioned to Triple-A

The Reds optioned Waldrop to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.

Waldrop received just two pinch-hit at-bats after being recalled earlier this week, so the Reds decided to send him back to Louisville to open up a roster spot for pitcher Michael Lorenzen, who was activated from the bereavement list Friday. Waldrop could rejoin the Reds later this season when rosters expand in September.
