Strotman was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
Strotman was with the Twins in major-league camp but will quickly head over to the minor-league side. The 25-year-old was acquired from the Rays as part of the return for Nelson Cruz in July, and he struggled to a 7.33 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 42:30 K:BB over 54 innings with St. Paul. Strotman will need a better showing in 2022 to have a chance of making it to the majors this season.
