Blackhawks' Jiri Sekac: Placed on waivers

Sekac was waived by the Blackhawks on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Sekac has played in only six contests since being acquired by Chicago in a trade for Ryan Garbutt and garnered a lone assist. The 23-year-old has yet to play a full NHL season with any one team and will likely be reassigned to AHL Rockford if he goes unclaimed.
