Blackhawks' Jiri Sekac: Won't travel due to illness

Sekac will not join the Blackhawks on their road trip to Carolina on Tuesday, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

With the All-Star break just around the corner, the Blackhawks will give Sekac some extra rest by leaving him behind as they head to Carolina for their final game before the hiatus. Barring a long-term illness of some kind, it seems likely Sekac will be fine for the team's next game Feb. 2 against the Avalanche.
