Bruins' Maxime Talbot: Joins Providence for the AHL stretch run

The Bruins have assigned Talbot to AHL Providence.

Talbot, who notched two goals and seven points over 38 games with the big club this past season, will give Providence a versatile and experienced presence up front for the team's stretch run/AHL playoff push. Talbot is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason and there's a decent chance that the respected veteran forward won't be re-signed by the Bruins.
