Coyotes' Steve Downie: Reassigned to AHL

Downie was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Sunday.

Downie was recalled from the AHL affiliate Wednesday, and ended up drawing into Friday's contest with Boyd Gordon out due to an upper-body injury. The fact that he's being sent back could indicate Gordon will be ready for the team's next game, while Downie will now return to a role of organizational depth.
