Coyotes' Steve Downie: Return appears imminent

Downie (upper body) is able to come off injured reserve now that the Coyotes have assigned Craig Cunningham to the minors, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.

Downie has yet to be officially activated, but this is an encouraging sign that he's nearly ready to return after missing the past 10 contests. The 'Yotes have games Thursday and Friday evening, so perhaps he'll be able to play in one of those matches.
